Openwings Login

When you start the Openwings core for the first time (using the ow.bat/ow.csh scripts), one of the first things that will happen is for a login screen like the one below to appear.

Openwings ships with one user already created: "openwings" (with a password of "openwings"). You will probably want to quickly remove this user and replace it with one of your own, as shown on the next page. Alternatively, you may be able to use your platform login.

A login is required for each process or JVM that accesses an Openwings service using a secure connector. However, the Openwings login module is configured so that this login information is cached in a secure location for a period of time (usually 8 hours). This means that you should only have to login to the Openwings login module if you have been inactive for some time.
