The Openwings core services provide a virtual hierarchy of systems
and entities. The Openwings shell provides some basic commands
for navigating these systems and entities.
|
Note: The Openwings Explorer is a GUI-based tool
that is easier to use and is a replacement for the older
shell tool. After reviewing the basic commands here, you
may wish to skip ahead to the Explorer
section.
|
In Windows, run the shell by executing owsh.bat,
located in the <OW_HOME>/openwings-${VERSION}/bin directory.
In UNIX, run the C-shell script owsh.csh, located
in that same directory.
After the script runs, you will see a welcome message and then
a shell prompt similar to
this one:
Openwings@Root\>
If you wish, type help and press Return to see a list of
valid commands.
