From a tree view window, right-click on a component. Select the
"Properties" option from the pop-up menu. In this example,
Launcher_im was selected.

If the
description attribute of the
Installable Component Descriptor has been populated, its contents
will be displayed, along with the
version and the
install state of the component. This is useful for determining
if a component is resolved and ready to execute. As an additional
visual cue, executable components are shown in yellow and have
an asterisk next to them.

This is the same information you would get with the "ls
-l" command in the shell.
You can get more details about a service the same way you got
more details about a component. Right-click on a service node
and select "Properties":
